About the Irving Park Community Food Pantry

The Irving Park Community Food Pantry is a volunteer-based organization. The Pantry is governed by a Board of Directors that pays a part-time Executive Director, Client Services Coordinat and an Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager.
All other duties are handled by a volunteer staff of nearly 90 individuals who oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pantry.

 

Volunteers are the backbone of the Pantry, providing hundreds of hours of volunteer work each month. They allow us to accomplish our mission while focusing most of our funds on purchasing food. Their activities comprise bringing in deliveries and donations, stocking food stations, helping clients shop for food, sending out information to the community, attending events and helping clients with other social needs.
